Formosa
Boulevard Station is the interchange for
the KMRT's Orange and Red lines. Located
the intersection of Jhongjheng 3rd Rd.
and Jhongshan 1st Rd., it was designed
by Japanese architect Shin Takamatsu and
the "shell" shaped entrance is evocative
of "Prayer".
Dagangpu had always been an important
commercial hub, with the Jhongshan Road
Bridal Street, the Jhongjheng Road
Wedding Cake Street, Liouho Night Market
and Nanhua Night Market all found in the
area around the station. With the
completion of the KMRT, the Formosa
Boulevard with its café culture and the
world-class architect designed Formosa
Boulevard Station combine to form one of
Kaohsiung City's crown jewels. |
