
Stipulations for Passengers with Folding Bicycles

- 1. Bicycle access route and effective time periods:Folding bicycles, which sum of length, width and height are not over 205cm and the wheel size are below 20 inches, are allowed onboard trains at all times and do not require a permit.
- 2. Entering and exiting stations:Bicyclists are prohibited from using the staircases or escalators, and instead shall use accessible ramp, elevators (a maximum of two bicycles) and wheelchair ramps.
- 3. Entering and exiting paid areas:Bicyclists pass in and out the paid area by wide gate. Please fold your bike before boarding, and do not block the aisle or doors.
- 4. Points for attention:
- (1) Please fold your bicycle before boarding, or a bicycle permit will be charged.
- (2) Bicyclists shall keep their bicycles clean. KRTC may refuse to transport bicyclists whose bicycles may dirty the station facilities or the clothing of other passengers.
- (3) Bicyclists must stay with their bicycles and hold them firmly at all times.
- (4) Bicyclists may board trains only after all other customers have boarded and avoid dirtying the clothing of other passengers.
- (5) Bicyclists shall bear legal responsibility for any damage to KRTC or third party property.
- (6) KRTC may refuse to transport bicyclists who cause inconvenience for other passengers or affect train operations.
- (7) In case of emergency, bicyclists may not be allowed to enter the metro system temporarily.
- (8) Passengers with bicycles shall abide by the Mass Rapid Transit Act, related regulations and notices promulgated by KRTC. If cyclists violate any of the aforementioned rules and cause injury or harm to themselves, KRTC shall not take responsibility.
- 5. KRTC may adjust bicycle access periods, stations and other related regulations.
Stipulations for Passengers with Regular Bicycles

- 1. Bicycle access route and effective time periods:The bicycles size shall not exceed 180cm long, 120cm high and 70cm wide. Only non-power bicycles are allowed to enter the Kaohsiung Metro.
- (1) Effective time periods:Passengers with bicycles are allowed to enter all stations from 6am to the end of the service everyday.
- (2) Bicycle access route:Passengers with bicycles are only allowed to travel on the Red Line and Orange Line stations.
- 2. Fare:A bicycle permit (Paper Ticket) is valid for one person with a single bicycle and is good for one trip of unlimited distance. It will be charged for NT$100 each bicyclist.
- 3. Entering and exiting stations:Bicyclists are prohibited from using the staircases or escalators, and instead shall use elevators (a maximum of two bicycles) and wheelchair ramps.
- 4. Entering and exiting paid areas:Bicyclists shall buy the permit at the Information Counter and return the ticket to station staff at their destination. Bicyclists shall contact station staff to enter and exit stations through the assigned pathway.
- 5. Bicycles aboard:Bicycles are allowed to board only at the first train. Inside each door is a vertical handrail for a maximum of one bicycle, a maximum of fourth bicycles per train. Bicyclists shall not occupy the space for wheelchairs and bicycles should be parked between the vertical handrail and cyclists themselves, and perpendicular to the train’s operation direction. - (3) In case of emergency, please follow instructions to move bicycles to the side of unopened doors to permit mobility of other customers.
